Individual Volunteer Opportunities

A volunteer said to our CEO once, "You guys have the best volunteer program in town." We couldn't agree more.

Volunteering can be a rewarding and exciting experience. Many of our volunteers have been with us since the beginning. No matter what your level of experience or interest, we will find a place for you.

Once accepted into our volunteer program, we will work with you to arrange your placement and provide documentation to your company for their records and any matching contribution.

Have a large group?
Reference our Group Opportunities section. Due to space limitations, we limit group size to a maximum of 10 volunteers at a time for on-site opportunities.

The following volunteer positions are available:

Kitchen volunteers are a part of our lively, bustling kitchen operation! You're a part of a team of top chefs who prepare nutritious and delicious meals for our chronically ill clients. Slicing, dicing, chopping, packaging—all are examples of tasks you could do in any given shift. No prior kitchen experience required…just a willingness to learn a new skill.

Do you love to be on your feet and don't mind some heavy lifting? Then the warehouse might be the place for you! Warehouse Helpers organize food donations, bag groceries for weekly distribution, and repackage bulk food donations. With nearly 1.5 million pounds of food that came through our doors last year, we need all hands on deck to help process the donations.

Front Desk Helper

Thrift Store Helpers
312 Broadway E, Seattle, WA
Surround yourself in style (and some great bargains) by volunteering at our thrift store. Our Thrift Store volunteers are crucial to keeping our Thrift Store stocked and tidy.  Volunteers help process clothing and other goods which have been donated by helping to determine what can and cannot be sold, tagging and hanging items and putting them out on the sales floor.  The more donations we process, the more funds we are able to raise for our programs.
Shift Times: Monday – Saturday: 11am-2pm, 2-5pm,5-8pm and Sundays: 11am-2pm, 2-5pm, 5-7pm
