Homeless Youth Sock Drive

Socks. Such as simple, basic need. Access to shoes and socks is often limited for the homeless youth living in shelters and on the streets. The best way to prevent bacteria is to keep feet clean and dry - very difficult if you spend your days outside.

Homeless youth are at high-risk of HIV infection. Upon receiving the socks, youth are much more open to receiving prevention education messages from Lifelong staff. Our hope is to prevent the spread of HIV within this vulnerable population.
