We know that one of the most effective ways to manage an individual’s illness is by adhering to treatment and medicine prescribed by a doctor.

But what if you don’t have insurance? Or if you do – how do you figure out if your medications are covered? How expensive are co-pays?

Our Health Insurance Program pays insurance premiums for people living with HIV who otherwise might not be able to afford it on their own. People need access to their medications, to their doctor’s appointments, to their care. A person’s ability to manage his or her health impacts everything else in that person’s life—quality of life, ability to work, as well as their mental health and emotional well-being.

How do I know if I’m eligible for insurance?

You are eligible to apply if you:

  • Live in Washington State

  • Have gross monthly income at or below 425% of the Federal Poverty Level

  • Have proof of HIV positive status
